Rex comes with a full set of good radiographs and a veterinarian report/statement. Current Coggins and vaccinations
With the foundation, handle and willingness that this gelding has options are endless. He has a meet you at the gate personality. This beautiful gelding is broke to ride in and out of the arena. If you want a gelding that is well-mannered, respectful on the ground, and under saddle, Rex is your guy. He is easy to halter, bridle, and saddle. You can ride him with a snaffle, shank, or bridleless. He can also be ridden bareback. He has also been tacked up and ridden English a few times.
He is good for the farrier, easy to bath. He loads and unloads easily and stands tied. Rex has no bad habits/vices and he stalls great. He is a horse that does not require any special maintenance.
He knows how to move all of his body parts independently and together. He will walk, trot, canter. Rex has a really nice stop. He will stop of off whoa, your hands and seat. He will back circles and figure eights, spin, turn, side passes in both directions, and lope all by using leg and hands. He will ride bridleless anywhere. He is consistent with his leads. He has a nice soft backup off of your hands and legs. Rex will also one rein stop. He has smooth transitions. You can put this horse’s body anywhere you want. He is very laid back and easygoing but can be serious when you want him to. You can groundwork him on a lead line or in a round pen. Rex will lay down on cue and will sit up sometimes. He is safe, sound, and broke. He has been desensitized to all sorts of things which is why he is the horse he is today.
Rex has been started on a mechanical cow, tracking, cutting, and roping. He has also drug many things. We have also used Rex to pony horses in the arena and out on trails.
Rex is quiet and confident down the trail and will take care of his rider. This gelding is very sure-footed, calm, and sensible out on trails. He goes up and down hills, through water, over logs, and tackles whatever obstacles you throw at him. He is confident when ridden alone or is happy anywhere in a group whether he leads or follows.
If you have been looking for that all-around, well broke, and safe gelding then here he is. He can go out and keep you safe while you have a nice trail ride or you can play with him on cows. He is traffic safe and has been around farm equipment. He is quiet enough for kids age 8 and up to ride in my opinion, yet is well trained that he is fun for the intermediate/advanced to ride and use. Rex is a gelding that will give you everything he has. No doubt about it, you will love him. Tested, tried, and approved. I back my horse 100%. We welcome anyone who wants to come to check him out and test ride him.
