Barbaro is a 8yr old ottb. He is a barn fav, smart, athletic, gentle, all around extremely easygoing gelding. He’s very willing/eager to please his person. He has 3 balanced, huge, floating gaits that will get you noticed in any under saddle class and has no problem getting down the lines in any competition. Barbaro checks all the boxes to make an incredible 3 ringer. Accompanied with his looks, 10++ movement and bloodlines to prove it. He is a true sport horse. Barbaro is currently and will be in consistent training by myself and trainer until sold. He is 110% sound in every way and has never taken an off step in his whole career. Barbaro is absolutely capable of the 1.50 meters and is consistently schooled up to 3ft at home. Showing PLENTY of scope and athleticism for much much more. Barbaro knows and is well schooled in lateral work. He moves off the leg with ease and is capable of anything asked in every ring. Always holding true with his stunning looks, brains, his quality of movement and willingness to please, makes him the total package/an undeniably worthy mount. Barbaro is extremely careful while jumping, as to ensure he will never be the reason for faults on course. He cracks his back over every fence and has the most beautiful/natural bascule I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. He has a flawless flying change and could easily handle tempi changes with a few schoolings to show him how. Barbaro has been ridden under close supervision by both of my children, ages 7 and 12 and although he will happily cart them around, is best suited for an intermediate rider or above. Barbaro is very light to the leg and extremely soft in the mouth. He’s a perfect gentleman and daily goes nicely in a happy mouth D-ring snaffle. Barbaro listens and engages with every cue from his rider and has his own naturally self propelled way about him. Give him the gas, he goes! Whisper softly WHOA, you’d better be sitting down as he’s been trained to have that emergency break in the event it’s ever needed. He has ZERO buck, bolt, rear, or any other shenanigans in him. Barbaro is wonderfully behaved for the vet, farrier, bathing etc. He stands ground tied for hours, no questions asked. Trailers and clips just fine. Barbaro is ready to shine in the show ring.
